A decoy nuclear authentication disk can be purchased from a Syndicate Uplink.
Decoy disks cannot be told apart from real disks by just a glance or inspecting them. There is other ways to tell if the disk is false by using a Pinpointer or checking its price for exemple.
The Captain is expected to have the disk on their person at all times, or at the very least kept in a secure location. If it is somehow destroyed, it will teleport to a random location on station.
