This page needs revising! This page contains information that is either out-of-date or from a different source (e.g. Upstream SS14). Some information on this page may differ from how it actually works on Delta-V. Reason for revision: "Outdated due to the Rebase Update. Random Events link to survival, antag win/lose scenarios." |
Game Modes control exactly how a round will play, and decide whether it'll be a relatively peaceful shift or an instant disaster with no survivors.
Secret
The default game mode is Secret, which randomly picks one of the following game modes:
Traitor
A number of random crew members, based on current server population, will defect from Nanotrasen and become traitors! Selects anywhere from one to seven of your fellow crewmates to be syndicate agents, with the goal of completing three or four objectives such as, but not limited to:
- Breaking into secure areas on the station
- Cutting wires and destroying substations
- Stealing items from department heads
- Murdering your fellow crew mates
- Becoming a golem
Nuke Ops
Your station has been targeted by Elite Syndicate Nuclear Operatives (Nuke Ops), otherwise simply known as nukies, who want to detonate a nuclear fission warhead inside!
At the start of the round three to five players get chosen depending on the amount of players. There is one operative for every five players and you need at least fifteen players to have a chance for it to be chosen.
Revolutionaries
In Revolutionaries a number of the crew's members will defect from Nanotrasen and desire to overthrow the station for themselves. These are the Head Revolutionaries. They can use flashes to convert other members to join the revolution. Their goal is to kill all of the heads of the station.
Survival
In Survival, there are no main antagonists beyond the usual random events.
Suspicion
Removed as of 1/28/2022
Suspicion is a test game mode from earlier in the game's development, designed for more than five players and with a short time limit. If you've played TTT, it's similar to it, but with more guns and less fun.
Sandbox
Sandbox gives players the ability to use some of the game's debug tools, namely the spawn entities and spawn tiles panels, allowing you to build whatever you want using the large number of objects the game contains.
Shipwrecked
A group of travellers set out to the stars only to meet unforeseen consequences. This does not allow for late joining.
A low population gamemode that needs to be voted for and meant to be played with a low amount of players. The whole goal is to survive, repair the shuttle and escape. This gamemode implements a special game rule that makes you 'able to starve to death' so remember to drink and eat to avoid starvation.
